The 10 Year Transition Experiment: Reflections and Lessons Learnt

Described by David Holmgren as one of the "great achievers of permaculture activism" Rob Hopkins is a former permaculture teacher and co-founder of the Transition movement. In this talk, he will reflect on the relationship between permaculture and Transition, and what both can teach us about how to scale up our impact and influence at a time that desperately needs that. You'll hear how Transition is reimagining and rebuilding our world, with permaculture principles very much at its heart.

Rob Hopkins is the co-founder of both Transition Town Totnes and Transition Network. He is a serial blogger, author of The Power of Just Doing Stuff and tweets as @robintransition. He wrote The Transition Handbook and The Transition Companion, and was recently awarded a PhD by the University of Plymouth and an Honorary Doctorate by the University of the West of England.

In 2012 he was voted one of The Independent’s top 100 environmentalists and one of ‘Britain’s 50 New Radicals’. He is an Ashoka Fellow, a keen gardener, a founder of New Lion Brewery in Totnes and a Director of Atmos Totnes.
