Training of teachers (ToT)
An experiential training for anyone wanting to become a permaculture teacher (need to be a PDC graduate). During the course we will be focusing on the tools & techniques for teaching & facilitating permaculture learning & the practicalities of convening & running courses. The ToT will concentrate on permaculture training but the techniques covered can be applied to any other subject and hence the course would be valuable for any teacher wanting to expand their creative teaching techniques. The course will be lively and interactive on all levels using plenty of diversity in teaching styles. The course is a working example of how much can be achieved in a short course using accelerated learning techniques.
10-19 August 2015
The world is waking up to climate change and other effects of unsustainable growth. We know permaculture has answers, so if you've ever wanted to inspire others but haven't had the confidence this course is for you. This course is suitable for all abilities: both apprentice & experienced teachers & also for those who have just completed their Permaculture Design course (PDC).
Capacity of the event:
low waged £695
We are hoping that we would be able to offer a bursary place (either free or for less than £100) if we have at least 14 paying people – this is yet to be confirmed and we would need to wait until we have some bookings to confirm this.
People would need to get a bus/train to Hereford and then either a bus to the site or we could do some pickups if we could coordinate people. Lift sharing may be possible. Full travel details and lift share options will be provided on enquiry/booking.
Camping included in cost, or local B&Bs at extra cost. If people wanting to camp have tents etc. they should bring them. For overseas participants we will look to provide tents.
If you have any questions please contact the convenor, Chris Evans, on 01981 540121.
