Shropshire & Edges Permaculture Network (SEPNET)
Shropshire & Edges Permaculture Network (SEPNET) offer hospitality and a tour of five varied & fascinating permaculture sites in and around beautiful rural Shropshire
SEPNET will host up to 12 people arriving on 16th Sept and staying for 5 nights.
Day 1 16th Wednesday. Six people will stay at Pams Pools and the other six at Pennerley Permaculture and Forest Garden Plot. This first day will simply be spent settling in & relaxing.
Day 2 17th Thursday. The Pennerley group will travel to Pam's Pools Permaculture LAND Centre for the day to see that site & meet the other group. This is a semi self-sufficient permaculture and wildlife site.
Day 3 18th Friday. The third day both groups will visit Cwm Harry, a local social enterprise providing Permaculture related education and services for a tour and perhaps a permablitz work party in their grounds.
Day 4 19th Saturday. Both groups will visit Station Road Permaculture LAND Centre, a family home incorporating permaculture principles into a typical suburban back garden. There may also be the option of visiting another local LAND Centre - Haye Farm, a farm using permaculture principles to rear rare breed sheep and cattle and to manage extensive apple orchards.
Day 5 20th Sunday. The Pam's Pools group will visit Pennerley Permaculture Plot (also a LAND Centre) for the day, for a chance to see their forest garden and other permaculture features. The day will culminate in an evening party around a bonfire for both groups and further members of SEPNET, with offers of entertainment welcome!
Day 6 21st Monday. Both groups will depart - probably back to London but possibly on a visit to the Centre For Alternative Technology in Mid Wales if they so wish.
Local permaculturalists are encouraged to join us any or every day - the more the better - so that we can all have plenty of time to socialise and exchange ideas with each other.
Cottage and eco hut accommodation will be provided at Pam's Pools or Pennerley, with the option to camp at either if you wish.
Wednesday 16th September 2015 - Monday 21st September
SEPNET can help you with your travel plans and/or collect you from Wolverhampton or Shrewsbury Railway Stations.
£100 total. This will cover food and fuel costs. Accommodation and site tours are being donated free and SEPNET volunteers will cook the food and provide transport.
