Where permaculture meets the justice system.

Presenter:
Nicole Vosper

Setting up micro-farms for ex-offenders in Greater Manchester, this presents the outcomes of applying permaculture principles to an innovative project growing legitimate instead of criminal crops.

Launched in 2015, the project recycles the farming skills learnt on illegal crops by providing recovering ex-offenders with a shipping container or mobile home urban 'farm'. As part of a supportive co-operative, the 'refarmers' aid their own recovery and personal resilience by becoming self-employed.
