My name is Celia and I am the 'spoke' for Welcome & Wellbeing, one of the working groups putting together the IPCUK. Our role is to make sure IPCUK embodies good people care throughout all the events. To help achieve our goal to make IPCUK as inclusive, accessible and enjoyable as possible, we will write regular updates on what we are doing on this blog. Bookings for the International Permaculture Convergence (IPC), London 2015, have been open for a week, with people from more than a dozen countries booked so far. The first person to reserve their place was Hans Ryding from Sweden.

Hans lives in the coastal area of Skåne, the southernmost part of Sweden, where his design work is focused.

A steady flow of bookings for the IPCUK conference and convergence are coming in from all over the world. We had 50 bookings in the first week. Booking now is 25% cheaper than the price will be next summer.

For the convergence we have a limited number of tickets in the first wave: 150 for UK participants and 150 international. When they're gone, they're gone.

For the conference we have up to 1000 tickets available at the special Early Bird price of £145 before 28 February 2015. After that date they go up 10% in price.

As they say in Britain, "The early bird catches the worm".

IPCUK hosts, the Permaculture Association, were delighted to be part of the Friends House official unveiling of ‘The Light’. Members attended an exclusive open day and evening launch event on 10 November.

The Light has a capacity of 1,000 but has the flexibility to be transformed into cabaret, theatre and exhibition styles. The catering options are seasonal, all of which are sourced from local providers.
